Noida News: Days after the woman Moni Devi died by committing suicide, fresh probe has been ordered against the Police Officer who was investigating the case and asking for more money from the family of the victim. The cop had asked for 2 lakh rupees from the victim’s family earlier and when the family had given the money the cop started asking for more money. The cop also threatened the victim to give more money else he’ll send them to jail.
Family was asked to give more bribe
The woman Moni Devi was made an accused in an alleged rape case on the statement of her relative. The woman Meenu had filed a case against four accused including Moni Devi and her husband. Moni’s relatives claim that the Investigation officer was asking for Rs 5 lakh to withdraw the case.
Cop suspended, faces further probe
The family managed to give Rs 2 lakh. The cop then threatened them to send them to jail if remaining money was not given. Unable to bear the harassment by the cop, the woman Moni committed suicide. Following the suicide, probe has been ordered against the cop and he has been suspended. The Police is investigating the matter.
