Noida News: Two employees of the Garden Galleria Mall were arrested after they were found serving cheap liquor in branded liquor bottles to the customers. After the incident, Noida Police issues notice to the Club owner and sealed the pub. The district excise officer caught the hotel staff pouring cheap liquor in the branded liquor bottles and when confronted the hotel staff confessed that they were doing this on the instructions of the Hotel Manager.
Accused sent to Judicial Custody
The accused has been arrested under section 60 and section 420 of the Indian Penal Code and sent to judicial custody. Excise Department also conducted raids around the city and caught truck which was trying to enter Noida. Truck was carrying liquor and driver had no proper license. He was stopped by the Police to enter in the city.
Similar Cases reported in the Past
This is not the first incident of selling and carrying illegal liquor in the city. 3 people were arrested in 2022 for carrying illegal liquor worth Rs 20 lakh. Noida Police also seized 60000 litres of illegal liquor worth Rs 3 crores in December 2022.
