Noida News: The authorities in Greater Noida, a neighbour city to Delhi, raided a textile business that produced the pricey drug MDMA. The drug production facility operating out of Mitra Society in Greater Noida’s Beta 1 was raided today by the Gautam Buddh Nagar Police. Three foreigners have been detained, and 150 crore worth of drugs and raw materials have been found. With another unit being raided on May 16, this is the second similar operation that has been discovered in the city in roughly a fortnight.
Textile Business in Greater Noida Uncovered as Drug Manufacturing Hub
The outfit that was raided today was operating out of a home where the suspects were ostensibly running a fabric manufacturing. The police claimed that they would carry the drugs to Mumbai, the northern regions, even Nepal and Bangladesh, while concealing them in bundles of fabric. The unit’s operation may be seen in a video, which demonstrates how rubber tubing, various chemicals, and beakers are used to conceal smoke and odours.

Fictitious Firms and Drop Box Used to Export Drugs Abroad
‘According to the accused’s statements, two fictitious firms were utilised to carry drugs out of the country. Additionally, they said that the medicines were being sent abroad via a drop box in Delhi. The investigation into the shell firms is ongoing, and today a police team is on the scene to look into the drop box,’ according to Lakshmi Singh, the police commissioner for Gautam Buddh Nagar. The raw ingredients and medications that were seized are estimated to be worth ₹150 crore on the international market, she continued. The Commissioner added that in the previous 15 days, Greater Noida has seen the seizure of about 50 kg of drugs, with a value estimated at over 450 crore.
