Noida News: Due to the projected UP International Trade Show, which is scheduled to take place in Greater Noida‘s Expo Mart in Gautam Buddha Nagar from September 21 to 25, all schools in Noida and Greater Noida would be closed after 2 PM on September 21 and 22. In addition, the Moto GP India competition is planned to take place at Buddha International Circuit in Greater Noida from September 22 to September 24, 2023.
Schools in Noida and Greater Noida to Close Early as per DIOS Directive
In a letter to the principal dated September 21, 2023, Dharamveer Singh, the District Inspector of Schools (DIOS), Gautam Buddh Nagar, requested that the schools be closed at 2:00 PM. From nursery to class 12, all classes will be closed. Schools are to follow Singh’s directives to the letter.
Section 144 Imposed in District Ahead of International Trade Show and MotoGP Event
Prior to the International Trade Show at Expo Mart taking place from September 21 to September 25 and the MotoGP Bharat event being proposed to be held in Greater Noida from September 22 to September 24, 2023, Hridesh Katheria, Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police (Law and Order), announced to impose Section 144 in the district. Over 1.5 lakh guests, including over 10,000 foreign delegates, are anticipated at the MotoGP event. According to sources, guests and motorcyclists from over 22 different countries will attend this event.
