Odisha Train Tragedy: Numerous photos and videos of the devastation caused by the tragic Odisha railway disaster appeared on social media after it occurred. There were several injuries and fatalities as a result of the crash, which involved three trains. Official reports indicate that 900 people were injured and at least 238 people died. The nation’s deadliest rail catastrophe in more than two decades occurred in this incident. The Shalimar-Chennai Central Coromandel Express, the Bengaluru-Howrah Superfast Express, and an iron ore-loaded cargo train were all involved in the Balasore train accident.
Alleged Video Shows Coromandel Express Moments Before Tragic Disaster
Now, a purported video that allegedly depicts the Coromandel Express interior moments before the fatal train disaster has appeared online. In the footage, cleaning staff are seen scrubbing an AC coach’s floor. On their berths, numerous guests can be seen dozing off. Then, something jerks suddenly, maybe knocking the person filming the video off balance. After that, everything becomes hazy. People shouting is all that can be heard.
Goods Train Fatally Strikes Six Workers in Odisha
A goods train in Odisha ploughed over six workmen, crushing them to death, just a few days after the horrific Balasore railway catastrophe. The incident happened at the Jajpur Road train station in Odisha. According to PTI, at least six labourers were killed and two more suffered serious injuries. A representative for Railways stated, “There was an unexpected rainstorm. A cargo train was idling at the railway siding where the workmen were employed. They took cover beneath it, but sadly the freight train, which was empty of an associated engine, started moving, which led to the accident.
