Panchayat Polls West Bengal: Hours after West Bengal Leader of Opposition Suvendu Adhikari moved Kolkata high court over violence in the Panchayat Polls, the Kolkata high Court had reserved the order in the PIL filed by Suvendu Adhikari. The West Bengal Opposition leader had approached the court over incidents of violence in the Nomination Process.

Violence Reported in West Bengal Panchayat Polls

The court had earlier given the order to place forces during the Panchayat Polls to avoid unrest and violence in the weaker areas. The court also allowed Adhikari to file a separate plea. The Kolkata High Court had also shown its resentment over the negligence of the State Election Commission to curb violence in the state.
