Patna News: After the city witnessed spike in the Cyber Theft cases, the Economic Offenses Wing decided to release the amount from the account of the victims which was freezed by the Cyber Cell when the theft was being reported. This was done in order to protect the remaining money of the victim from the accused. EOU has now started the process of releasing the remaining money of all the victims. A total amount of over 1.5 crore will be returned to all the cyber fraud victims. Apart from Patna, other districts of Bihar will also receive their money like Gaya, Aurangabad, Darbhanga, Nawada, Jamui, Muzaffarpur etc.
People can also call on the Helpline Number 1930
The victims of cyber crime will receive their money which was held back due to security reasons by the Cyber cell. The overall amount is more than 5 crore in the Patna City. Department has also issued a helpline number to register your complaint at 1930.

You must follow these necessary steps to avoid becoming a victim of Cyber Theft.
Update Security Software: Make sure your security software is latest and Refresh it regularly
Log Off when not needed: Make sure you log off from your laptop or app on your cellphone once you aren’t using
Don’t stay online all the time: Go offline when it’s not required
Security Settings: Use Passcodes in your cell phone or laptops to enter your Secured areas
Never Use Public Wifi: Never use Public Wifi as hackers can easily connect to Public Wifi
