Patna News: After over two months of Rains during the Monsoon season, the air quality of the city came down severely impacting the climate. The Air Quality of the city was worse than Delhi with the AQI for Patna was recorded at 175 and the AQI of Delhi was recorded at 162. The AQI has been on the rise since the last week. BSPCB Officials come up with an Action Plan
Rain takes away all the Pollutants from the air and strong winds results in dispersal of pollutants. Both these factors led to the decline in the air quality. Apart from Patna, other cities which recorded the high AQI are, Saharsa, Munger, Chhapra, Katihar, Bhagalpur and Hajipur. However Chairman of the State Pollution Control Board submitted plan to the Central Pollution Control Board to tackle the situation.
Saharsa – ( AQI 281)
Munger- ( AQI 222)
Chhapra –( AQI 199)
Katihar- ( AQI 173)
Bhagalpur- (AQI 161)
Hajipur –( AQI 159)
‘Other Ways will be adopted to handle the situation’
However the situation hasn’t turned worse yet, there are still ways through which the air quality can be improved. If it becomes more worse, then industries will be asked to shut and less vehicles will be allowed on the road.
