Patna News: Divisional Commissioner Kumar Ravi, along with DM Chandrashekhar Singh, SSP Rajeev Mishra, and Patna Municipal Corporation Commissioner Animesh Kumar Parashar, conducted a physical examination of Ganga ghats in preparation for the Chhath festival.
Four ghat declared unsafe:
They are ensuring the prominent display of ghat names and security watchtower numbers for the convenience of devotees. While preparations are underway for 108 ghats along the riverbanks, four ghats, Meenar Ghat, LCT Ghat, Rajapur Pul, and Pehalwan Ghat, were declared unsafe due to deep water levels.
Ravi emphasized importance of naming these new ghats:
The development of J P Ganga Path and its underpass has introduced new public structures and ghats for Chhath prayers. Ravi emphasized the importance of naming these new ghats for easy identification by devotees, administrative, and police teams. Additionally, he instructed officials to plan dedicated traffic management and parking facilities in the underpass, ensuring devotees’ convenience.
