Patna News: District Magistrate Orders School Closure to Protect Students’ Health Amid Severe Heat Conditions

Patna: In response to the ongoing severe heatwave, the District Magistrate (DM) of Patna has announced the closure of all government and private schools in the district until June 22, 2024. The decision, aimed at safeguarding the health and well-being of students, was made following predictions from the Indian Meteorological Department about the extreme heat conditions in the area.

In his order, DM Dr. Chandrashekhar Singh stated that while students are not required to attend, school teachers and non-teaching staff are expected to be present and continue their work. This latest directive extends the initial closure order issued on June 17, which had temporarily closed schools until June 19.
