The State President of the Confederation of All India Traders (CAT), Ashok Kumar Verma, noted that there is heightened customer enthusiasm, especially evident in the surge of purchases during Dhanteras.

- Gold coins (22 carat) were in high demand, with prices reaching Rs 5640 per gram.
- Abundant sales of diamond sets were reported, including a necklace set worth Rs 43 lakh at Sevika Jewellers and necklaces worth Rs 28 lakh at Tanishq.
- Market Buzz:
- Utensil purchases surged as buyers sought steel and brass utensils to please Goddess Lakshmi.
- The utensils market in Patna experienced significant activity, with a wide range of products on display.
- Diverse Purchases:
- Apart from traditional purchases, there was a considerable buying spree in categories such as electronics, clothes, home decoration, furniture, and mobile gadgets.
- The auto-mobile sector also saw substantial activity, contributing to the festive market boom.
- Floral Sales:
- On Diwali day, it is anticipated that flowers worth about Rs 50-60 crore will be sold in Patna, contributing to the festive spirit.
- Notably, lotus flower, rose, marigold, tuberose, mogra, Kaner, Godavari, and jasmine are among the popular choices.
- Chinese Items in the Market:
- Chinese items constitute only 10% of the offerings in the market this year, marking a decline in their visibility.

- Bullion: Rs 500 crores
- Auto-mobile: Rs 500 crores
- Electronics/Electric: Rs 200 crores
- Clothes: Rs 125 crores
- Utensils: Rs 110 crores
- Sweets: Rs 100 crores
- Home Decoration: Rs 75 crores
- Furniture: Rs 75 crores
- Mobile-Gadgets: Rs 50 crores
