Patna News: Indian Railways has introduced a new train that will make travelling from Dumka to Patna easier. Starting on January 24, railways will operate a daily express train from Patna Junction to Jharkand’s Dumka. It will set off from Patna Junction at 6.40 am on its return trip, arriving in Dumka at 1.30 pm on the same day. In route, it will make stops at Rajendra Nagar Terminal, Bakhtiyarpur, Barh, Kiul, Abhaypur, Jamalpur, Sultanganj, Bhagalpur, Barahat, Hansdiha, Nonihat, and Barapalasi. From Patna to Dumka, it will be the first direct train. The Patna-Dumka Express would use a total of 22 coaches, including one 1AC, two 2AC, six 3AC, eight sleeper class, three general coaches, and two brake van/generator cars, according to Eastern Railway sources. The following trains’ stopping times at select stations have changed as a result of the new train’s operation starting on January 25.

According to a South Central Railway announcement, a Special Help desk has been established at the East Main Entrance of the Vijayawada Railway Station in light of the continuing agitation.
