Patna News: Kumar Ravi, the divisional commissioner for Patna, on Tuesday, requested that the civic organisation divide Gandhi Maidan’s territory into five sectors and work on cleaning and sanitation in three shifts each day. The move is expected to promote cleanliness at Patna’s most popular landmark.
Patna Municipal Corporation amps up sanitation work
The official emphasised the need of keeping the space spotless, providing visitors with basic such as clean restrooms and safe drinking water. The decision was taken during a meeting of the organisation that manages Gandhi Maidan, Shri Krishna Smarak Vikas Samiti. He also insisted on the need that the Patna Municipal Corporation (PMC) to hire 30 sanitation personnel to carry out smooth functioning of sanitation work. These workes are expected to work in three shifts.
More facilities to be introduced
Additionally, Kumar Ravi requested that the Patna Municipal Corporation make sure that the 15 high-mast lights that were installed in and around Gandhi Maidan function properly, leaving no room for low maintenance. A children’s park close to Gandhi Maidan’s gate number 5 was also given to the civic organisation to maintain, which is further expected to boost footfall.
