Patna Traffic Goes on Durga Puja Detour, Vehicle Restrictions from October 21 to 24; Check Details

Patna News: The traffic structure in Patna, the capital city of Bihar, has undergone significant modifications in preparation for Durga Puja and Dussehra. On certain highways, there won’t be any vehicle traffic for four days, from October 21 to October 24. The roads that lead to the Dak Bungalow crossroads will not be used by cars. During the evening and night, there will be restrictions on vehicle movement in numerous other parts of the city.

Truck Restrictions and Traffic Adjustments for Festive Period in Patna

For the full four days from Saptami to Dussehra, trucks carrying products, whether owned by the government or not, will not be allowed to enter Patna. Puran Kumar Jha, the Traffic SP, provided information about the diversion on Thursday. Major adjustments have been made to the traffic near the Dakbungalow crossroads, Income Tax Golambar, Kotwali, according to the Traffic SP during the press conference that was conducted in the office room.

Traffic Diversions and Road Restrictions in Patna During Festive Period

Only tiny cars are able to travel from west to east from Chowk Mod to Didarganj. Ashok Rajpath from West Darwaza, Ashok Rajpath from Purba Darwaza, and Ashok Rajpath from Patna City Chowk will not be used by cars travelling east to west. Only small cars will use the Gandhi Chowk Saidpur Road via Moinulhaq Stadium route to travel from Ashok Rajpath to Rajendranagar and Patna Junction. On Khazanchi Road, cars will travel from the south to the north. There will be no vehicular traffic between Rajpath and Makhaniyan Kuan Road South. On both sides of GM Road and Sabzi Bagh, vehicles will not be permitted to travel from Bakarganj bend at Baripath towards Makhaniyan Kuan Road.

Some Important Routes

● Small vehicles going from Hartakari Chowk in Nehru Path to Patna Junction, Old New Bypass will not go beyond Income Tax Golambar.
● Drivers can go from Aaykar Galambar via Veerchand Patel Path via R Block, GPO, Chirayatad Bridge or Karbigahiya.
● Small vehicles going from west towards Gandhi Maidan in Bailey Road will come till Voltos turn. From here we will proceed via Vidyapati Marg.
● Small private vehicles going from Gandhi Maidan towards Bailey Road will come from Chhajjubagh to Kotwali via Sinha Library Road.
● All vehicles will not ply from GPO Golambar towards Buddha Marg. From here the vehicles will move towards GPO Golambar in the west towards R Block and towards Patna Junction in the east.
● Vehicles will not go from R Block towards Income Tax Golambar. These vehicles can go from R Block intersection towards East GPO Golambar or West Harding Road.
● All vehicles going from Patna Junction towards Hartakari Chowk will go from GPO Golambar via R Block via Atal Path, Daroga Rai Path.
● Movement of all vehicles will remain closed from Bhattacharya Square, Patna Junction and Swaminandan Tiraha towards Dak Bungalow.
●There will be restrictions on vehicular movement on both the flanks from Dak Bungalow intersection to Kotwali.

Traffic Restrictions in Patna for Dussehra Ravanavadh Event

Vehicle traffic on October 24 from Bhattacharya Square to North Gandhi Maidan, from New Dak Bungalow to SP Verma Road, from the Commissioner’s Office to Gandhi Maidan, and from Ramgula Gum Chowk towards JP Golambar will be blocked from 1 pm until late evening due to the Ravanavadh programme. Famous people’s cars will be kept secure while they travel from the Dak Bungalow intersection to JP Golambar (Gandhi Maidan). Vehicles will be permitted to use Children Park to travel from JP Golambar to Tara Hospital or PMCH in the event of an emergency. Common cars, carts, and carts from Patna Junction Golambar to Dak Bungalow intersection and from JP Golambar to Dak Bungalow intersection would not be permitted.
