Patna Police, in a statement, said that the incident was reported in the early hours of Monday morning during which Sharma succumbed to his injuries while undergoing treatment. In charge of Chowk Police Station confirmed the same and said that the CCTVs installed at the spot and nearby areas were being closely scanned in order to identify the accused persons involved in the crime. “Police are seriously investigating the case. We are trying hard to nab the criminals and ensure justice is served,” it added.
