People Jump Out Windows, Woman Hangs On By A Rope As Fire In Chhattisgarh

A case of massive arson has come to light in Korba district of Chhattisgarh. A sudden fire broke out in a clothes shop located in Tipinagar area of the city.

The fire was so fierce that in no time it engulfed many nearby shops. The fire gradually reached the three-storey building of the Municipal Corporation. More than 6 shops were gutted in the arson. The fire brigade team reached the spot and after a lot of effort, brought it under control. Seeing the flames in the midst of the scorching heat, there was chaos in the area. People trapped inside the clothes shop saved their lives by jumping from the window.

The fire that started from the clothes shop gradually spread to other shops. After which only smoke was visible all around. Fire brigade and police team reached the spot as soon as the information about the fire broke out.

People started jumping to save their lives

According to the information, a massive arson incident took place in the three-storey building of the Municipal Corporation. People working in offices and nearby shops jumped from the windows to save their lives. After the incident, there was a stir inside the shop and offices. Some jumped from the first floor and some jumped from the second floor to save their lives. However, the information about any casualty during this period has not been revealed yet.

It is being told that at the time when the fire broke out, about 50 people were in the three-storey building. About 10 people saved their lives by jumping from the window. While the security forces and the fire brigade team had to struggle hard to save the lives of the remaining people. At present the cause of the fire is not known. However, the people present on the spot say that the team of the fire department arrived late even after getting the information, due to which the fire got worse.
