PM Modi expresses grief over Indore temple mishap, More than 25 worshippers trapped in collapsed stepwell

PM Modi: A painful incident took place in Indore, the financial capital of the state. In a city temple, the slab over the stepwell suddenly caved in. Due to the collapse of the slab, more than 25 people got trapped in the stepwell, the work of evacuating them is going on. So far more than 10 people have been taken out, so there are 9 people alive inside the stepwell. On the other hand, PM Narendra Modi wrote in tweeting that, “Extremely pained by the mishap in Indore. Spoke to CM Chauhan Shivraj Ji and took an update on the situation. The State Government is spearheading rescue and relief work at a quick pace. My prayers with all those affected and their families.”

According to the report, on the day of Ram Navami, some worshippers were performing Havan at the Shri Beleshwar Mahadev Temple in Patel Nagar when suddenly the stepwell’s roof collapsed, trapping a large number of worshippers inside. A significant number of police forces arrived at the scene almost after and began conducting relief and rescue efforts after being made aware of the tragedy. In contrast, senior police officers and government representatives have arrived at the location. All of the MIC members, including Mayor Pushyamitra Bhargava, have reportedly left the Delhi MIC meeting and arrived at the location. After the incident, Kailash Vijayvargiya, the national general secretary of the BJP, arrived to the scene and assessed the circumstances.

10 people have so far been successfully evacuated

By the grace of God, we are all actively involved in the rescue effort, according to CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan. “I stay in touch constantly, and 10 people have so far been successfully evacuated. There are still 9 safe survivors inside, and search efforts are ongoing for the others. I believe that we have deployed all of the resources that can be better than the best and are currently working by the grace of God and Lord Ram. I believe we can escape securely since I have already told 19 people and are working to inform the remaining eight. No bad news as of yet, but there are still some individuals inside, and evacuation attempts are ongoing.”
