New vehicle Regulations

The RTO has also increased the amount of challan for driving in these new guidelines. As per the latest regulations, any boy or girl under the age of eighteen who is caught operating a motor vehicle is considered a minor. The minor’s father or legal guardian may then be subject to a challan of up to Rs 25,000.

Maharashtra Deputy CM Condemns Politicization
Maharashtra Deputy CM Devendra Fadnavis says, “This is a very cheap attempt to politicise this incident because, in the Pune incident, the police took immediate action. We have also expressed surprise at the decision given by the Juvenile Justice Board in this case, but the police filed an appeal against it.”
“Those who gave alcohol to the minor have also been arrested, and the father who gave the car has also been arrested…The attempt by Rahul Gandhi to bring vote politics into everything is very wrong…I condemn it,” he added.
Ongoing Investigation and Legal Actions
In the late hours of May 19, 2024, in Pune’s Kalyani Nagar neighborhood, a youngster was operating a Porsche vehicle while intoxicated. The minor’s automobile struck two IT engineers who were riding their bikes on the road. Both of the IT engineers perished in the disaster because it was so horrible.
In accordance with Section 304 of the IPC and other provisions of the Motor Vehicle Act, Pune Police has filed a formal complaint (FIR) against the juvenile. In addition, the police have filed a report under sections 75 and 77 of the Juvenile Justice Act against the father of the youngster.
