Damage to the Vehicle and Verbal Assault

In Pune Viral Video we can see an auto-rickshaw was overtaking a car driver and he was on his way to Kharadi from Punawale. The dispute finally surfaced when the auto driver reacted aggressively, first stamping on car and ultimately damaging the side-view mirror. In video footage, the auto driver is seen egging car driver to roll down his window and threatening him for the perceived offense of overtaking.

As things began to boil over, he was banging on car and window and shouting verbal abuses. This is a disturbing trend wherein minor traffic disputes escalate into physical altercations. At the time, car driver was intimidated and harassed by this man and subsequently lodged a report at Sangvi Police Station, but of late, nothing seems to have been done against the aggressive auto driver.

This time, however, it happens again, and yet a call is still made for urgent measures to address road rage in order to have a road transport environment that will be safer for everyone.
