Kuldeep Singh Dhaliwal: The Punjab government is committed to resolve people’s problems, said Punjab Rural Development Panchayat minister Kuldeep Singh Dhaliwal. Dhaliwal is also the Agriculture and Farmers Welfare and NRI Affairs Minister. He was addressing the weekly ‘Janata Darbar’ at Vikas Bhawan, SAS Nagar in Mohali on January 3.

Dhaliwal directed the officials of headquarters and districts concerned to address the complaints of the people and resolve them without any delay. Dhaliwal said that more than 200 cases had been heard on Tuesday itself and instructions had been given to the concerned officials over the phone.
People as active partners
He also encouraged the employees and officials of different departments to work diligently and honestly in public interest. The state government was also involving people as active partners to ensure all around development of Punjab.
He said that soon a campaign will begin to remove illegal encroachments from Panchayat lands based on the complaints of the people. He said that during the first campaign, more than 10,000 acres of panchayat land had already been freed from illegal occupation.
Govt to resolve NRIs’ problems
Dhaliwal also said Punjab government had taken concrete steps to resolve issues of NRI Punjabis in the year 2022. Giving details, he said ‘NRI Punjabian nal milani’ programs were held at Jalandhar, SAS Nagar, Ludhiana, Moga and Amritsar on December 16, 19, 23, 26 and 30, respectively. He added that officials were directed to resolve the issues of the NRI Punjabis at the earliest.
A total of Rs. 30 lakh rupees was released to upgrade 15 NRI police stations and to improve the basic amenities. Besides, fast track courts will also be established soon to resolve the issues of NRIs in a timely manner, he said.
