“In our government, we have kept our promises. We have made electricity free and will reduce commercial and industrial rates. Despite the poor financial situation we inherited, only AAP-ruled states are providing free electricity,” Kejriwal stated. Highlighting the success of AAP’s governance model, he mentioned the Mohalla Clinic as a global example of primary healthcare and touted the establishment of schools of excellence that have led to a shift in parents sending their children to government schools.
However, Kejriwal stressed that more work needs to be done. “We have to improve all 20,000 schools, roads, water, sewer systems, and cleanliness. We will do everything,” he assured the crowd.
In a direct appeal for support, Kejriwal urged the people of Punjab to back AAP in the upcoming elections. “Today, I have come to ask for your votes. If we get strengthened in the Centre, we will be empowered. You should give us all 13 seats so that we can fight for your rights,” he concluded.
Kejriwal’s rally in Ludhiana underscores AAP’s strategy to consolidate support in Punjab and project their governance model as a template for national development. As the election campaign intensifies, AAP’s performance and promises will be under close scrutiny from both supporters and critics.
