In a major development, Mohali Police has achieved major success, arresting six people involved in terror activities. The monumental achievement comes just days ahead of Independence Day. According to several media reports, these terrorists were planning attacks on August 15. Police have also recovered some weapons from the terrorists.
Mohali Police busts gangster racket
In a similar incident last week, the Mohali police busted an inter-state weapon supply chain which was involved in providing weapons to gangsters across Punjab. Police also arrested a local operative of Canada-based gangster Prince Chauhan and brought three jailed gangsters to Mohali. It also recovered 24 highly mechanised country-made firearms.
Police recover deadly weapons
After a thorough interrogation, Mohali Police recovered 22 pistols and two guns along with 12 live cartridges. Each pistol reportedly cost around Rs 60,000.
Police had also zeroed in on two more suspects who were involved in coordination with Vikrant. Their arrest is expected to further reveal more details about the racket.
