Ludhiana police achieved a significant success on Friday by uncovering an illicit call center and apprehending 30 individuals involved in defrauding several people, including foreigners.
According to Punjab Director General of Police, Gaurav Yadav, who shared the news on Twitter, the illegal call center was operating as a technical service provider for multinational corporations, deceiving citizens and primarily targeting foreigners to extract large sums of money.
The arrested individuals were found to be in possession of mobile phones and other electronic devices, which have been seized as evidence. The gang members who were apprehended hail from various states, including Meghalaya, Uttar Pradesh, Gujarat, Himachal Pradesh, Nagaland, Delhi, and Punjab.
