Punjab is taking strict action against the corrupt under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann. CM Mann has announced that no one will be spared in the matter of corruption. Every penny of the public will be accounted for. Along with this, CM Mann has warned the striking PCS officers that if they do not return to work, they will be sacked.

Bhagwant Mann, posting an order on his social media, wrote, “No one will be spared in the matter of corruption, whether it is a minister, a sentry or any of their relatives, every penny of the public will be accounted for.”
PCS officers from across the state have gone on a monthly leave in protest against the arrest of Ludhiana RTA Narinder Singh Dhaliwal in a corruption case by the Punjab Vigilance Department, due to which the work of government departments has come to a standstill. The Punjab Revenue Officers’ Association had said on Tuesday that no PCS officer would work until their demands were met.
Now, the state government has also got support from Leader of the Opposition Partap Singh Bajwa and senior BJP leader Sarwan Singh Channy, besides many other senior leaders and social organisations.
Appreciating the government’s effort, Bajwa said, “How can officers get blanket protection against corruption? Various judgments clearly mention that there is no need to take prior sanction for investigating civil officials in forgery, misappropriation of funds and cheating cases.”
BJP leader Channy said, “Action against the corrupt should be supported”
Former Deputy Speaker Bir Devinder Singh said, “Bureaucrats cannot be allowed to gang up and hold democracy to ransom. CM Mann’s tirade against corruption is a major initiative of the government that needs to be supported. We need to understand that Punjab has become poor not just because of fiscal mismanagement, but also due to politician-bureaucracy nexus.”
