After a landslide victory in the Jalandhar bypoll, AAP MP Sushil Kumar Rinku along with Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann met the party’s national convenor and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal at his residence and discussed the state’s development plans.

Significantly, the MP from Punjab will be the sole representative of AAP in the Lok Sabha. Expressing gratitude after the meeting, Rinku said that it was only under the guidance of Kejriwal that we were able to win the Jalandhar by-election.

He said AAP has created “history” by winning the Jalandhar bypoll as the seat has been a Congress bastion for more than two decades. He also talked about Mann’s role and credited the victory in the Jalandhar by-polls to the people-centric development works in Punjab in the last one year.

The newly elected MP highlighted that the construction of flyovers and roads is underway in his constituency and the work needs to be expedited.

He also mentioned how progress on the Adampur airport had suddenly come to a halt, adding that he would prioritize addressing these issues in the Lok Sabha. Rinku said though her tenure as Lok Sabha MP from Jalandhar was only 11 months, AAP’s vision for the constituency “has gone beyond the current term”.
