Bathinda Military Station shootout: Eyewitness turned out to be the murderer of four soldier

The Indian Army on Monday arrested a gunner in the Bathinda Military Station firing case. The accused killed his four colleagues in the military station due to personal enmity. Another shocking revelation is happening in this case. It is being told that the accused would have been sexually assaulted, due to which he was under stress and he committed these murders. Not only this. He steals an INSAS rifle to kill his associates. After the murder, he himself became an eyewitness and falsely claimed that two masked men in kurta pyjamas had carried out the incident in the early hours of April 12.

The Defense Ministry said in a statement that a man named Mohan Desai, an artillery unit gunner, has confessed to his involvement in stealing an INSAS rifle and killing four of his colleagues. Preliminary investigation indicates that the incident apparently took place due to personal enmity.

Weapon stolen on 9th April

The accused stole the weapon along with the magazine on the morning of 9 April. Then he hid the weapon. At about 4:30 a.m. on April 12, while he was on sentry duty, he took the weapon and went to the first floor. He went to the two rooms of the soldiers sleeping here and started firing rapidly.

Rifle thrown in sewage pit

After the murder, Mohan threw the weapon in a sewage pit. After the incident, he concocted a story that two masked men dressed in white kurtas and pyjamas had carried out the murders. He also said that the killers were armed with INSAS rifles and axes. He did this so that there is no terrorist angle to the incident and agencies are not investigating.
