The Chief Minister of Punjab, Bhagwant Singh Mann, and his government have taken a significant step towards improving the education sector. Around 100 teachers who had pursued higher education from recognized universities located outside the state have now had their services regularized. This move comes as a relief for these teachers who had been working tirelessly for the past 14 years.

Punjab’s Education Minister, Harjot Singh Bains, shared details of this development, highlighting that during the recruitment drives of 2009 and 2011, a portion of teachers had presented certificates from recognized universities in other states. However, due to this, their services were not initially regularized. Recognizing the unjust situation, Minister Bains promptly took action by establishing a high-level committee led by the Director of Secondary Education to oversee the process of regularizing these teachers’ services.

With the guidance of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, the government’s commitment to improving the education system has been evident. Director of Secondary Education, Mr. Sanjiv Sharma, took the honor of handing over the official letters of service regularizations to these deserving teachers. The efforts to complete this process for the remaining teachers are in progress and are expected to be finalized within the ongoing week. This step marks a positive stride towards recognizing the dedication and hard work of educators and enhancing the overall education landscape in Punjab.
