Cabinet Minister Anmol Gagan Mann visited Khanpur and Desu Majra today to listen to the concerns of the people affected by the recent heavy rains. The minister arrived in the Kharar constituency and engaged with the individuals impacted by the rainfall, assessing the extent of the damage caused.
The flood victims shared their difficulties and informed the minister about the losses they incurred due to the heavy rainfall. As an immediate measure, the minister also distributed essential supplies to those in need.
Providing further details, the minister explained that the flood was a natural disaster resulting from continuous rain in both the plains and hilly areas. She assured that the Punjab government, under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, would extend all possible support to the rain-affected individuals.
She emphasized that necessary instructions have been given to the authorities to assist those affected by the heavy rains. She reassured the people that there is an ample amount of funds available to tackle this emergency situation. She urged them not to panic, as the Punjab government is always ready to support them during these distressing times.
During the visit, SDM Kharar Ravinder Singh, Chairman of the Kharar Market Committee Harnek Singh, and a large number of people were also present.
