E-vehicle shuttle service for girls soon: Bhagwant Mann

Interacting with girl students during the first program at Government Girls College, the Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann said that India is a young nation with majority of the population below 40 years. He said that this population can play an active role in nation building, provided their immense strength is harnessed in a positive manner. Mann said that this program is a step in this direction as it will make the youth equal partners in the social and economic progress of the state.

The Chief Minister said that the state government would soon start electric vehicle based shuttle bus service for girls. He said that this service would be started in major cities of the state like Patiala, Ludhiana, Amritsar and other places. He said that this is a big step towards ensuring good public transport facility for girls in these big cities.

Inviting the girls to come forward and play a decisive role in the field of active politics, Mann said that it was the need of the hour to make the decision making and law making process effective in the state. He said that politics has an impact on every sphere of life and if girls come forward in this field then definitely they will play an important role in the progress and prosperity of the country. He said that girls are like an asset for the society. He said that during the 2022 Vidhan Sabha polls on behalf of our party, 11 women candidates registered a big victory.

He said that six special police stations for women have been set up in the state and very soon such police stations would be set up in all the districts. Expressing satisfaction over girls outshining boys in every field, the Chief Minister said that this shows the wave of women empowerment. He said that it is a matter of great pride that girls are clearing these competitive examinations with hard work and dedication. Bhagwant Mann expressed hope that this would bring about a qualitative change in the society.
