Former minister Sunder Sham Arora has been arrested red handed for giving a bribe of 50 lakhs to the Vigilance officer himself. He was caught late in the night from Zirakpur. A case has been registered against him for bribing the officer.
Former Punjab Minister Sundar Sham Arora Arrested By Vigilance Bureau
Arora along with his PA Money has also been arrested by the Vigilance Bureau. However, his arrest has not been shown. Arora was produced in a Mohali court, from where he has been remanded for three days.
The Vigilance Bureau was investigating three cases, including disproportionate assets, against the minister for some time. The Vigilance team had called him twice for questioning. Meanwhile, when the minister felt that he could go to jail in the case, he planned to bribe AIG Manmohan Singh, who was investigating the case.
He offered to bribe the officer on one crore. Also said that they will bring money to their house. Meanwhile, the officer told this to his senior officers. The matter was immediately brought to the notice of the Chief Minister. After this, a plan was made to arrest the accused by putting a trap.
First of all, the former minister was called to Cosmo Mall located in Zirakpur. Where he reached with fifty lakh rupees. Vigilance put his arrest at the same time. During this, two government witnesses were also made. Simultaneously, investigation has been started after registering a case.
Vigilance says that he could not even imagine that the accused would do such a thing.
