Career in Aam Aadmi Party
In 2014, Bhagwant Mann joined the Aam Aadmi Party after resigning the Punjab People’s Party. He subsequently successfully ran for the Sangrur Lok Sabha constituency for the first time in his political career. Mann assumed the role of state unit chairman for the party following the 2017 Assembly elections.
Mann, 17th Chief Minister of Punjab
Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann is 17th Chief Minister of Punjab. He is representing the Punjab Assembly constituency from 2022. Also, since 2019, he has been working as the State Convenor of Aam Aadmi Party Punjab. Earlier, Mann was a Lok Sabha member from Sangrur from 2014 to 2022.

Mann became well-known person owing to the television boom and his roles in series like Jugnu Kehnda Hai and Jugnu Mast Mast, which starred Jagtar Jaggi and Rana Ranbir. In 2008, he took part in the inaugural Great Indian Laughter Challenge, whereby Navjot Singh Sidhu, the chairman of the Punjab Congress and current adversary, also served as a judge.
