Prime mover of the whispering campaign against was State Congress Chief Amarinder Singh Raja Warring. He has emerged as the chief protagonist in Praneet Kaur ouster drama in the Congress as he complained for her expulsion to party’s Disciplinary Action Committee(DAC).

“Some other senior Congress leaders of Punjab also share this view. The complaint was referred to the Disciplinary Action Committee of the AICC for necessary action. The DAC carefully considered it and decided that Smt. Preneet Kaur, MP (Lok Sabha) from Patiala, should be suspended from the Party with immediate effect.
Praneet Kaur has also been served a show cause notice and has been asked to reply it in three days “as to why she should not be expelled from the Congress Party”.

“The party was getting regular complaints about Preneet Kaur indulging in anti-party activities & party’s state unit was demanding disciplinary action against her. The party’s Disciplinary Committee decided to suspend her. Showcause notice served to her,”

In his resignation letter which was soaked emotion he had written,
“I actually felt deeply hurt by your conduct and that of your children, who I still deeply love as much as my own children, having known their father, since we were in school together since 1954, which is for 67 years now.”
