Girl with Indian flag drawn on face denied entry into Golden Temple

A shocking case has come to light from Punjab. Here a girl was stopped from entering the Golden Temple. According to the information, the girl had a tricolor drawn on her face. A video of this incident has also surfaced which is doing rounds on social media.

At the same time, after the video went viral, the General Secretary of Shiromani Gurdwara Prabandhak Committee has reacted and apologized for any wrong behavior. With this, she has said that the flag made on the face of the woman was not the tricolor of the country.

‘There was no Ashok Chakra in the flag, so there was no tricolor’

While apologizing, Gurcharan Singh Grewal, General Secretary of Shiromani Gurdwara Prabandhak Committee, said, “If any officer has misbehaved, we apologize.” Along with this, while giving clarification on the matter, he said that the Golden Temple is a Sikh shrine and every religious place has its own dignity. He also told that the flag on the girl’s face was not the national flag as it did not have the Ashoka Chakra. He also expressed the possibility of it being a political flag.

Employee was seen arguing with the girl

In the video of the incident preventing the girl from entering the Golden Temple, the Golden Temple employee can be heard telling the girl that “this is not India, this is Punjab”. During this, the employee of the Golden Temple is also seen arguing with the girl and asks her to remove the flag from her face to enter the temple.
