After the uproar in Punjab’s Amritsar on Thursday, the law and order of the state is under question. Meanwhile, Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann participated in ABP Network’s two-day program ‘Ideas of India Summit 2023’. In this program, many questions related to the law and order of Punjab were asked to Chief Minister Mann, to which he answered very bluntly.
In the program, the first question was asked to Chief Minister Mann related to the growing activities of Khalistan in the state. In response to which Chief Minister Mann said, “Punjab is a border state, so anti-social activities keep happening there.”
He clearly said that Khalistan is not becoming active again in Punjab. The Chief Minister said, “The land of Punjab is very fertile. Whatever you sow there will grow, but the seeds of hatred will not grow. Here social bonding is so strong that mutual brotherhood does not break. The people of Punjab always want peace and harmony.”
Count the work of your government
Praising his 11-and-a-half-month government, Chief Minister Mann said, “Punjabis are very hardworking they want employment and development. The industries which could not come due to the mistake of the previous governments are coming back to Punjab. We went door-to-door to the industrialists and they are coming. We are working on development. We are improving the condition of the schools. Aam Aadmi has opened clinics. Free electricity. We are getting better in terms of roads. Two of our airports have become international.”
What did you say on the question related to Amritpal?
How do you see Amritpal’s procession? On this question, Chief Minister Mann said, “The whole of Punjab is not like this. Law and order is completely under control here. A renowned magazine of the country has given us the second number in Law and Order. This is their rating, not ours. The people of Punjab have always been number one in getting freedom and maintaining freedom and are still at number one today. Even today the people of Punjab are standing on the border with their chests high. On the other hand, Punjab is at the forefront in feeding the country. The seeds of hatred don’t grow here.”
What did CM Mann say on Pakistani drone?
On the question of supply of guns and drugs through drones in Punjab, Bhagwant Mann said, “Drones have been there since before and are still there. We work in coordination with BSF. We catch drones everyday. Gangsters are being caught. Drugs are being caught. Encounters of gangsters are also happening. The country should move forward. Questions should also move forward. Punjab is progressing now. We had a meeting with MHA, we suggested to them that we need anti-drone technology. Many times the drone flew from our side, brought weapons from there. When we caught him, he turned out to be from India. Now even rallies are covered by drones. Drone should be registered. We are training the police for anti-drone technology. We have also made a plan for drugs.”
Serious allegations against the opposition
On the question related to the use of technology by criminals, the Chief Minister said, “It has been 11 and a half months. BJP-Akali and Congress gave them political protection. They were kept in their youth cadre. They work to protect each other. We have zero tolerance towards drugs and corruptionWe want to make Punjab Punjab again. Don’t make us London-Paris.”
