After the humiliating defeat in Sangrur, this seat has become a prestige issue for Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann and the Aam Aadmi Party. That’s why Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann is on a tour of Jalandhar. Even today the Chief Minister has reached Jalandhar.
Punjab Aam Aadmi Party President and Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann had a roadshow at Bundala in Phillaur at 4 pm, but the Chief Minister reached there late by two hours. However, after getting information about the roadshow, a huge crowd had gathered on the spot. People also interacted directly with Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann. AAP’s candidate Sushil Rinku was also with the Chief Minister.
Bhagwant Mann made several allegations ridiculing the Congress and the Akali Dal. He said that the leaders of Congress, Akali Dal and BJP looted and ate Punjab. Punjab’s agriculture-youth, children’s education, medicine for the elderly have all been eaten up. Some files have been made inside and some files are ready.
Referring to Hoshiarpur minister Sundar Sham Arora, he said that he earned so much money that he himself brought money to save himself. The Chief Minister said that on house search, a note counting machine was found from his house. It can be guessed by itself that how money would have rained at their house.
Making fun of the Congress leaders, the Chief Minister said that they do not meet the people. They come only once in five years to ask for votes. Even if you come and shake hands, you have to count the fingers of the hand. They don’t have any idea, just like they take money out of people’s pockets.
Lashing out at the VVIP culture on the Akali Dal, he said that the common man cannot meet them at all. Nor does he attend the common people only then. Mann said that he does not have such a culture as he freely shakes hands and meets people. When they join hands, they sanitize three times. They are afraid of getting skin disease.
Bhagwant Mann Targets Congress
“We have taken action against several Congress leaders for possessing disproportionate assets during their tenure. We have already prepared a list, which is long enough. The documentation has been done to take action against corrupt leaders in coming days,” Mann said.
“I have been visiting Jalandhar since 1993 but have seen no development in Jalandhar constituency,” the CM added.
