In a case of extortion, the Muktsar police presented gangster Lawrence Bishnoi once again in the CJM court on Tuesday morning. The police had asked the court for about a week’s more remand of Lawrence, but the court granted three days’ remand. Now the police will again bring Lawrence to the court on 16th December.
Lawrence was produced in the court of CJM Rai Pal Singh Rawat on December 8 in an extortion case. During this, he got a police remand of six days, which as soon as it was completed, Lawrence was presented again in the court. During this, the police side sought more time for questioning and asked for about a week’s time, but the court granted remand for only three days. Although in the previous hearings, gangster Lawrence Bishnoi’s lawyer was Satnam Singh Dhiman, but in today’s hearing, Lawrence’s lawyer was Jagdeep Singh Brar.
Jagdeep Singh Brar is the junior of advocate Satnam Singh Dhiman and due to the busyness of Satnam Dhiman, he had come today to plead on behalf of the Lawrence side.
In connection with FIR No. 67 lodged in Thana City, Punjab Police had brought Lawrence from Delhi on Wednesday and the six-day remand granted after being presented in Muktsar court was also completed today. On which he was presented again on Tuesday.
It is noteworthy that on March 22, 2021, a person lodged a complaint with the City Muktsar police station that he was being asked for a ransom of Rs 30 lakh through calls from three numbers. There is talk of killing the son for not giving the money. The threatening person was calling himself Lawrence Bishnoi. In this regard, the police had registered a case against Lawrence under Section 387, 506 and started investigating the matter. In this case, the police had also arrested a person named Damanpreet. Who is now out on bail.
