On April 12, Mann will kickstart his campaign by addressing a rally in Digboi, followed by another campaign event in Vishwanath on April 13. The AAP’s focus on these two constituencies underscores its strategic approach towards the upcoming elections in Assam.
Mann is slated to attend a public rally at Bangali Balijan
Arriving in Dibrugarh tomorrow, Mann is slated to attend a public rally at Bangali Balijan, Tingrai in Tinsukia district at 1 pm, where he will drum up support for AAP candidate Manoj Dhanowar. Later in the day, the Punjab Chief Minister will participate in a roadshow at Biswanath Chariali, lending his support to AAP candidate Rishiraj Kaundinya under the Sonitpur Lok Sabha constituency.
The AAP’s foray into Assam politics has gained momentum, with party leader Atishi Marlena recently conducting a rally to endorse Rishiraj Kaundinya’s candidature for Sonitpur constituency. Marlena firmly asserted the party’s determination to open its account in the northeastern state, signaling AAP’s ambitions to make inroads into the region’s political landscape.
As the Lok Sabha elections draw nearer, Mann’s visit to Assam underscores AAP’s concerted efforts to expand its electoral footprint beyond traditional strongholds, positioning itself as a formidable contender in the northeastern state.
