Ludhiana Municipal Corporation has inaugurated North India’s first exclusive dog park, providing a dedicated space for pet parents to take their dogs for walks, exercise, and training. This unique facility, spread over an acre in Bhai Randhir Singh Nagar, Ludhiana, offers a range of amenities and activities for dogs and their owners.
Key Features:
- Agility Equipment: The park is equipped with agility equipment such as hurdles and tunnels to help dogs develop their skills and stay mentally and physically active.
- Obedience Training Areas: The facility provides designated areas for obedience training.
- Swimming Pool: A swimming pool is available for dogs to enjoy and cool off.
- Pet Cafe, Clinic, and Grooming Center: Additional facilities, including a pet cafe, clinic, and grooming center, are planned to cater to various pet needs.
- Boarding Center: There are plans to establish a boarding center to provide a trustworthy place for pets when their owners need to be away.
The concept of dog parks, common in many countries, aims to create a safe and stimulating environment for dogs to socialize, exercise, and play freely, contributing to their happiness and overall well-being. The Ludhiana dog park is part of a growing trend in India to provide dedicated spaces for pet owners and their beloved canine companions.
The park also plans to host dog shows, games, and competitions where people can showcase their pets’ skills. A nominal fee will be charged for entry, and the park will be open from 6 am to 11 pm. The maintenance of the facilities will be handled by a Hyderabad-based contractor.
