The 5th ‘Invest Punjab Summit’ was organized in Mohali, Punjab. MODS stands for Memorandum of Dil Se Maan

Describing the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) as obsolete, Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann on Friday said at the closing ceremony of the Invest Punjab Summit that the state government is currently working on MoDS that is Memorandum of Dil Se with industrialists to promote industrial development in the state. signing.

“The MoDS is a sacred agreement straight from the heart, based solely on mutual trust and enthusiasm to make Punjab a leading state in the industrial sector.”

Along with this, he said that the people who have participated in this summit have themselves come to participate in the socio-economic development of the state. He said that companies are exploring possibilities of expansion in the state according to their target audience. Bhagwant Mann said that this would lead to progress and prosperity in the state, which would create new employment opportunities for the youth.

‘Sectoral Summit will be organized’

The Chief Minister announced that the state government would organize sectoral summits every quarter every year to further promote industry in the state. He said that it was the need of the hour to take the state on the path of higher development. Bhagwant Mann said that this would also help in giving necessary impetus to regional development of industry in the state.

16 new medical will be built in 5 years

The Chief Minister reiterated his government’s commitment to make the state a worldwide ‘healthcare’ hub. He said that to promote medical education in Punjab, the state government has decided to set up 16 new medical colleges in the next five years, taking the total number of medical colleges in the state to 25.

Bhagwant Mann said that on one hand it will provide quality medical education to the students and on the other hand it will help in providing world class health facilities to the people.


The Chief Minister said that the 117 prestigious schools being set up by the state government would enable the students of Punjab to excel in the field of education. He said that these schools will work to change the lives of the students by giving them a new direction. Bhagwant Mann said that these schools have all kinds of state-of-the-art facilities for the students, so that the students here can compete with other students of the world.

At the closing ceremony, Trident Group Chairman Rajinder Gupta said that his company would invest 1500 crores in the next 12 months. In the program, he also told about the plan related to it.
