Keeping in mind the celebration of Republic Day in the country, the security agencies are constantly ready. Along with the police, other agencies are also working continuously in view of the input of terrorist incidents in the capital Delhi, Jammu Kashmir and Punjab. In this sequence, Punjab Police launched Operation ‘Eagle’ on Saturday. Under this operation, the police launched an intensive checking campaign in the entire state.
Keeping in view 26 January, Punjab Police on Saturday launched Operation ‘Eagle’ in several areas including Ludhiana, Jalandhar. Under this, searches were conducted at different places. Police carried out searches at bus stands, railway stations as well as markets and other public places. However, the police have not found anything suspicious so far during this operation.
Hundreds of policemen deployed in Operation ‘Eagle’
Punjab Police has deployed hundreds of policemen in every district in the search operation being conducted under Operation Eagle. All these policemen are working for the smooth completion of the Republic Day celebrations in the state.
On Saturday, searches were conducted at various places in Ludhiana under Operation Eagle 2. ADGP Technical Ram Singh said, “Operation Eagle 2 is being run in entire Punjab. Under the campaign, checking is being done at hotels, bus stands, railway stations from 11 am to 4 pm. Nakas have been set up at many places.”
Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi will be the chief guest of Republic Day
The preparations for the 74th Republic Day celebrations of India are almost complete. For the first time this year, the Republic Day parade is going to be held on the duty path. Prime Minister Narendra Modi to attend the Republic Day as the Chief Guest, President of the Arab Republic of Egypt, H.E. An invitation was sent to Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi. Al-Sisi will pay a state visit to India from 24 to 26 January 2023. President Sisi will be accompanied by a high-level delegation including five ministers and senior officials. All will reach New Delhi on 24 January 2023.
