Vice Chancellor of Panjab University Prof. Raj Kumar has resigned from his post.
It is being told that the Chancellor of the University, Jagdeep Dhankhar, Prof. Raj Kumar’s resignation has been accepted. Dr. Renu Vij has been made acting Vice Chancellor in his place.
Arrangements for the post of VC will be made soon. Several complaints had been sent to the Chancellor against the PU VC for corruption in the university. At the same time, the attitude of the Vice-Chancellor was not good with the members even in the academic meetings, for which complaints were made.
Dhankhar has handed over the charge of Vice-Chancellor to Dean University Instruction (DUI) Renu Vig till further orders. In 2018, Kumar had joined as the VC of Panjab University. Prior to joining the university, Kumar was the Director, Dean and Head of the Institute of Management Studies, Banaras Hindu University (BHU).
