Punjab Chief Minister and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Bhagwant Mann recently took part in a vibrant road show to bolster the campaign for Sushil Gupta, an AAP candidate from Kurukshetra Lok Sabha constituency and also the Haryana chief of AAP. The event saw enthusiastic participation from AAP and Congress workers across Kurukshetra.
Protest Against Kejriwal’s Arrest
During the road show, banners with slogans such as ‘jail ka jawab vote se’ (answer jail with vote) were prominently displayed, reflecting a protest against the recent arrest of AAP’s convener and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal along with other leaders.
Mann’s Address and Message
Bhagwant Mann addressed the crowd, highlighting the misconception of the BJP in thinking that by arresting Arvind Kejriwal, they could dismantle the Aam Aadmi Party. Mann emphasized that while Kejriwal may be in jail, his ideas and vision remain strong. He urged the public to show support for change, emphasizing that the love and support received during the road show indicated readiness for a shift in politics.
Defense of Kejriwal and AAP’s Vision
Mann defended Kejriwal’s integrity and emphasized his contribution to Indian politics, asserting that the fight was to safeguard democracy and the principles enshrined in the Constitution. He poetically conveyed a message to BJP, affirming AAP’s resilience in the face of adversity.

Highlighting AAP’s priorities, Mann stressed on the party’s commitment to public welfare, citing initiatives such as free electricity, quality education, and accessible healthcare, similar to those implemented in Delhi and Punjab.
