Speaking at a state-level event held at the Guru Nanak Dev University campus, the Chief Minister reiterated his administration’s unwavering commitment to the welfare of all segments of society. He highlighted that the Punjab government has taken tangible steps to harness the boundless energy of the state’s youth by offering over 35,000 jobs. Mann emphasized the transparent and merit-based nature of the recruitment process, ensuring that jobs were conferred based on qualifications.
The Chief Minister stressed that his government prioritizes the well-being of all employees and workers as part of the comprehensive development of the state. He noted that the significant influx of job opportunities for youth has empowered them to actively contribute to the socio-economic advancement of Punjab. Recognizing the pivotal role of Anganwadi workers, Mann underscored their significance in nurturing and fostering the holistic development of children during their formative years.
Mann’s emotional gesture conveyed that despite personal commitments, he is unwavering in his dedication to serving Punjab diligently. He shared that he hasn’t seen his mother for over 40 days due to his responsibilities, but he views all elderly individuals in Punjab as his own mothers, and their blessings continue to motivate him in his efforts.
Directing criticism towards previous administrations for corruption and unemployment, the Chief Minister asserted that his government maintains a zero-tolerance stance against corruption. He emphasized the paradigm shift his administration has brought by empowering ordinary citizens’ sons and daughters. Those who once occupied lavish residences and wielded power have been relegated to obscurity by the public, while a pro-people government now operates with a mission-driven fervor.
During the event, an Anganwadi worker symbolically tied a rakhi (a traditional protective thread) to the Chief Minister on stage. Prominent officials present included Cabinet Ministers Dr. Baljit Kaur, Harbhajan Singh ETO, and Kuldeep Singh Dhaliwal.
