Education Minister Harjot Singh Bains arrived on Monday to visit government schools in his constituency. During this, he suspended Kuldeep Singh, Principal of Government Girls Senior Secondary School village Dher, on charges of negligence in duty.

According to the information received, during the suspension, the headquarters office of Kuldeep Singh (suspended principal) will be the District Education Officer (CSE), Jalandhar.
Action will be taken under this section
The suspension order issued by the Special Secretary, Punjab School Education Department, clarified that Principal Kuldeep Singh was under the influence of alcohol while on duty. Action has been taken against the accused under Section 4 (1) of the Punjab Civil Services (Punishment and Appeal) Rules, 1970.
