Punjab: The Shaheedi Sabha, which will be convened to commemorate the martyrdom day of Sahibzadas at Fatehgarh Sahib, has prompted the Punjab Government to declare December 28 as a gazetted holiday in the state.
According to a government spokeswoman, all state government offices, boards/corporations, and public educational institutions will be closed on December 28 in observance of the Shaheedi Sabha in Fatehgarh Sahib.
The Department of Personnel today issued a notification in this regard.
According to the interpretation of Section 25 of the Negotiable Instruments Act of 1881, this holiday has been declared.

The tremendous sacrifice made by the Sahibzadas at such a young age, according to the CM, barely has any precedent in world history. According to him, it motivated Punjabis to combat injustice.

Indian Embassy US observed Veer Bal Diwas

By honouring the Sahibzadas, the Indian High Commission in the US celebrated the Veer Bal Diwas.
The Indian High Commission tweeted that members of the Indian community attended the exhibition on the lives of the Sahibzadas. Veer Bal Diwas was declared on December 26 by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
