The project has been developed in collaboration with a private company to provide round-the-clock support to travelers.

Punjab News: The Punjab government has launched a dedicated help center at Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International Airport to assist NRIs and Punjabis traveling through the airport. Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann inaugurated the center today, fulfilling a promise made earlier. The project has been developed in collaboration with a private company to provide round-the-clock support to travelers.

Comprehensive Support Services

Located at Terminal 3 of the Indira Gandhi Airport, the help center will offer a range of services, including assistance with flights, connecting flights, taxi services, and lost luggage. In case of emergencies, passengers or their relatives may also be provided with rooms at the Punjab Bhavan in Delhi, subject to availability. The center aims to reduce the challenges faced by Punjabis and NRIs traveling through the airport.

Multilingual Staff for Better Communication

The staff at the help center is proficient in Punjabi, in addition to English and Hindi, to ensure that travelers from Punjab can communicate easily in their native language. The government has also issued a helpline number, 011-61232182, for inquiries and assistance related to the services provided at the center.

Chief Minister’s Statement

Earlier in the day, CM Bhagwant Mann shared a picture of the help center on social media, expressing his satisfaction with the project’s completion. He stated, “A few days ago, I announced that we would open a Punjab Help Center at Delhi Airport to assist Punjabis. Today, I am pleased to officially dedicate this center to Punjabis and NRIs. I hope this initiative by our government will alleviate the difficulties faced by Punjabis and NRIs.”

The establishment of this help center is part of the Punjab government’s ongoing efforts to improve the travel experience for its citizens and provide them with the necessary support during their journeys.
