ETO Cabinet Minister for Power and Public Works Departments (PWD) held a high level meeting to review development works in Moga district. One of the main objectives of the meeting was to discuss uninterrupted 24*7 power supply to the people of Punjab during Summer season. In addition, uninterrupted 8 hours power supply will also be provided to farmers.
Government’s strong measures
The government is committed to provide uninterrupted power supply to the people of Punjab and farmers, cabinet minister Harbhajan Singh said. To ensure the power supply, the government has taken several strong measures. The power minister said that currently the government has taken a number of steps to maintain a constant supply of electricity, including upgrading the infrastructure of substations and lines after the 2022 last year’s Paddy season.
MLAs play important role in development
He claimed that the MLAs played an important role in the work done by the Punjab government, which is headed by Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann. He insisted that construction projects must be finished on schedule. It is necessary to follow the deadlines for finishing the assignment. Contractors who don’t finish the job in the allotted time should be immediately blacklisted, he emphasised.
The minister also praised the Aam Aadmi Clinics’ performance and gave the Civil Surgeon instructions to ensure that everyone took full advantage of this program. He gave his word that it would not be accepted if government hospitals charged different fees than private hospitals.
