Punjab News: Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal is scheduled to visit Amritsar on Thursday, where he plans to lead a roadshow in support of Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) candidate Kuldeep Singh Dhaliwal and offer prayers at the Golden Temple.

The grand roadshow is set to commence at 6 pm, followed by Kejriwal’s visit to the revered Golden Temple. Party sources disclosed that Amritsar was selected as the destination for Kejriwal’s first visit to Punjab post his release from jail, as he expressed a desire to seek blessings at the historic shrine.
According to sources, Kejriwal will engage in numerous rallies and roadshows across Punjab alongside Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann in the run-up to the Lok Sabha elections.
Kejriwal was released from Tihar jail on May 10
Kejriwal was released from Tihar jail on May 10, where he had been detained following his arrest by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) in connection with the Delhi excise policy case. The Supreme Court granted him interim bail, permitting him to participate in the ongoing election campaign.
In his inaugural rally in Haryana on Tuesday, Kejriwal took aim at the BJP, asserting that the ruling party’s influence is waning and will not surpass the 230-seat mark.
“Upon the announcement of elections on March 16, I was sent to jail on March 21. This indicates their desire to obstruct my campaign. They fear Kejriwal. Whether I return to jail or not is contingent upon your decision… If you wish to prevent my return to jail, then vote for AAP and the INDIA bloc; otherwise, vote for the lotus,” he declared.
