Punjab News: As the consecration ceremony of the Ram Temple in Ayodhya approaches, Punjab is witnessing a surge in fervor. Religious and social organizations in the state are actively encouraging people to embrace the occasion as they would Diwali. Temples across Punjab are gearing up for grand celebrations, distributing flags adorned with images of Lord Ram or the temple itself, prominently displaying them in various towns.
Community Initiatives and Political Participation
In Bathinda, a wooden replica of the temple has been crafted, and numerous screenings are planned. Barnala is set to host a bhajan sandhya (musical evening of devotional songs) on Sunday, featuring religious preachings. Amrinder Singh Raja Warring, the president of Punjab Congress, personally distributed diyas (earthen lamps) and ladoos (sweets) in his assembly segment Gidderbaha in Muktsar district, urging people to celebrate the occasion with enthusiasm, emphasizing the universal significance of Lord Rama.
Infrastructure Readied for Grand Screenings
Preparations include cleaning temples for the event, identifying locations for large screens to broadcast the live coverage of the consecration ceremony. Volunteers, including women from various Hindu organizations, are engaged in door-to-door visits, distributing flags and diyas, encouraging residents to light lamps and offer prayers on January 22.
