Punjab News: Punjab, under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, is taking remarkable steps to support its talented students. In a significant move, the Bhagwant Mann-led government has introduced Residential Coaching Camps to help students prepare for competitive exams like IIT/JEE and NEET. This initiative aims to provide quality coaching and ensure students from Punjab are well-prepared for these challenging exams.

Education Minister Harjot Singh Bains highlighted that this program has the potential to transform the lives of students by making expert guidance accessible without the need to move to other cities.

Key Features of Punjab's Free Residential Coaching Camps

The Bhagwant Mann government, through the Punjab School Education Department, has introduced this special initiative starting December 8, 2024. Here are the highlights:

1. Locations: The coaching camps will initially operate in Mohali and Jalandhar, catering to 300 students at each location.
2. Start Dates: Students preparing for IIT/JEE can begin from December 8, while NEET aspirants can join from December 15.
3. Duration: The camps will run until December 29, 2024.

Preparing for exams like IIT/JEE and NEET usually requires students to pay hefty fees. Many also have to move to different cities in search of expert teachers, leaving their hometowns behind.
